The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is implementing the 'Smart Service Implementation Project for Solving Social Issues' from the fiscal year 2025 to contribute to solving social issues and improving the quality of life for its citizens. This project aims to implement more than 80 smart services over three years with support for startups and other entities.

The government is now starting the public offering for 'Smart Service Implementation Promotion Businesses' that will support the implementation of services by startups and other entities.

Based on an agreement with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, this public offering seeks 'Smart Service Implementation Promotion Businesses' that will discover and support startups and other entities responsible for implementing smart services for up to three years (planned for two entities).

Main Roles of Smart Service Implementation Promotion Businesses

Selection and Support of Startups

Select startups and other entities responsible for implementing smart services and provide necessary support in collaboration with other entities while the startups implement the services.

Implementation of Smart Services

Support the implementation of more than 40 smart services per entity over the agreement period (up to three years). The 'Smart Service Implementation Promotion Businesses' that select the startups and other entities will directly support them.

Eligibility for Public Offering

Entities with legal personality in Japan that meet any of the following criteria:

Joint-stock companies, limited liability companies (general partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships), audit corporations, law firms, and other profit-making entities related to professional services

Specific non-profit activities corporations, public interest foundations, public interest corporations

Other entities recognized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government

Agreement Period

From the date of agreement conclusion to the end of fiscal year 2038 at the longest (planned).

Agreement Fee

The agreement fee will be paid to 'Smart Service Implementation Promotion Businesses' annually based on their results.
