MetLife Life Insurance Company Limited (President and CEO: Dirk Olthuis) will begin selling the single-premium whole life insurance policy "Sunny Garden Prime" from July 1 through its direct sales force and insurance agency channels nationwide. The product has already been available through financial institution agencies since April this year.

"Sunny Garden Prime" is a revamped version of "Sunny Garden EX," which has received favorable reviews since its launch in 2015. While retaining the core features of lifelong coverage and access to investment returns, the new product adds a yen-denominated plan and enhances flexibility in areas such as interest rate guarantee periods, timing of return withdrawals, and beneficiary eligibility. Designed with today's uncertain economic environment in mind, it has evolved into a customizable product capable of meeting a wide range of customer needs.

Features of the Single-Premium Whole Life Insurance "Sunny Garden Prime"*

*Official names: Single-Premium Whole Life Insurance (Designated Currency, With Interest Rate Revisions) / Single-Premium Whole Life Insurance (Designated Currency, Without Interest Rate Revisions)

● New addition of a "Yen-Denominated Plan"

In addition to the existing U.S. dollar-denominated plan, a new yen-denominated option is now available. This allows asset accumulation in yen without foreign exchange risk, helping customers prepare for periods of inflation.

● Flexible interest rate guarantee periods

For the "with interest rate revisions" type, customers can choose between 10 or 20 years for U.S. dollar plans, and 5 or 10 years for yen plans. For the "without interest rate revisions" type, the interest rate is guaranteed for life, ensuring stable, unchanging investment returns in the designated currency over the entire policy term.

● Three payout options based on investment use preferences

Three options are available: "Regular Payout Course," "Flexible Withdrawal Course," and "Accumulation Growth Course" (available only with the "with interest rate revisions" type). Investment returns can be received on a regular basis or at times of the policyholder's choosing, or left to accumulate to benefit from compound interest.

● Greater flexibility in regular payout recipients

Under the Regular Payout Course, recipients of periodic payments can be selected from a predefined range including the policyholder and spouse, and this designation can be changed annually. This allows payments to be directed to loved ones and can also be used for lifetime gifting (subject to gift tax regulations).
