Metawater Co., Ltd. (President: Kenji Yamaguchi, Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has held internal events to coincide with 'International Women's Day' on March 8, 2026, in support of its philosophy.
This marks the third consecutive year since 2024 that the company has held events in support of International Women's Day. For this year's event, a special website was launched under the main theme, 'Diverse Perspectives Open Up the Future.' Interviews with three female employees working on the front lines, each with different backgrounds such as career hires and new graduates, were published internally. The interviews share messages regarding their experiences overcoming challenges, tips for balancing work with childcare and personal life, and their inquisitive spirit as engineers.
Additionally, to mark the anniversary, the company produced original awareness-raising posters featuring the photos and words of the employees interviewed. These were displayed at the entrances of major offices and sites, including the Manseibashi Headquarters, as well as Hino, Nagoya, and Tohoku. By also decorating with yellow flowers, which are considered the symbol color of the day, the company aimed to raise awareness of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)* within the organization.
International Women's Day is a day to celebrate the achievements of women and strengthen the commitment to a world free of discrimination. Through this event, the company hopes to provide an opportunity for each employee to eliminate gender-based discrimination, embrace diverse values and possibilities, and create a bright future.
In its 'Basic Policy on Sustainability,' the Metawater Group identifies 'Human Resources' as one of its material issues. Moving forward, the company will continue to develop a workplace environment where employees with diverse personalities can thrive, while actively engaging in DE&I and work-style reform to contribute to the realization of a sustainable environment and society.
*An acronym for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, representing the concept of aiming for an organization where employees with diverse personalities can succeed.
