MEEQ Launches eSIM Provisioning for KDDI Lines in MVNE Service

MEEQ Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Ryuta Minemura; hereinafter "the Company") began offering eSIM services for KDDI lines through its MVNE service, which supports MVNO operators, on April 7, 2026.

Moving forward, the company plans to offer eSIMs for SoftBank lines as well. With this addition, the company expects to enable eSIM usage across all three major carriers (NTT Docomo, SoftBank, and KDDI).

## About "eSIM"

Unlike traditional SIM cards that are inserted into a device, an eSIM is a mechanism where subscriber identification information (profile) required for communication is remotely written to a SIM chip already embedded in the device.

Because it eliminates the need for issuing and shipping physical SIM cards, it enables instant activation, leading to shorter lead times for service provision and improved operational efficiency.

*Note: An eSIM-compatible device is required to use eSIM services.

## How to Use

MVNOs wishing to provide eSIM services must apply in advance. Please contact our sales department for details.

Please note that implementation involves changes to the inter-operator interface. Be aware that modifications to the MVNO's own systems will also be required.
