JR East Cross Station Development Company (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Company President: Yoshiaki Shirata, hereinafter "JR-Cross") and Matchbox Technologies Inc. (Headquarters: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, President: Hiroaki Sato, hereinafter "Matchbox Technologies") will conduct a demonstration test for "Q-Cast," a new service to support talent acquisition for shops within the "Ecute" station-based commercial facilities and to ensure secure employment, from April to the end of July 2026.
"Q-Cast" is a unique "facility-specialized" spot work service (short-term part-time jobs) that matches workers who have acquired common operational skills necessary for working at Ecute with shops.
By connecting "reliable, immediately available talent" for shops with an "environment where workers can confidently thrive in diverse shops" within the station-based environment, we aim to resolve the severe labor shortage and create attractive workplaces.
This service is a joint demonstration test by the two companies, based on a business concept by JR-Cross, with Matchbox Technologies providing the system and operational support.
The official website is accepting pre-registrations for workers (job seekers) in preparation for the start of the demonstration test.
