Marutomo Holds "Pure Bonito Flakes®" Sampling Event! Distributing 30,000 Sets Free with Popular Miso Soup

Marutomo Co., Ltd. (President: Hitoshi Akizuki, Headquarters: Iyoshi, Ehime Prefecture), which contributes to health and food culture development through bonito flakes, dashi, and marine resources, held an event to distribute for free its "Pure Bonito Flakes® 25 Micron Soft Shavings 1.2g x 12 Bags," which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025.

This event, the third following those in Tokyo in 2024 and Osaka in 2025, was a joint project with Kazuo Kikuchi's seminar at the Faculty of Commerce, Meiji University. It was held for three days from June 25 (Thu) to June 27 (Sat) at the JR Central Tokyo Station event space (Yaesu Concourse). Students also cooperated in the planning and operation, distributing a total of 30,000 units over the three days. In this free distribution, in addition to "Pure Bonito Flakes®," we also distributed "Japanese Aosa Miso Soup" and "Japanese Long Onion Miso Soup" from our popular "Katsuobushiya no Kodawari Wan" (Bonito Flake Maker's Special Soup) series, available on our mail-order site. We promoted "Miso Soup x Pure Bonito Flakes®" as a new way to enjoy them. The melt-in-your-mouth texture of "Pure Bonito Flakes®" is a perfect match for miso soup!
