Background of MARE Group's Establishment
MAREGroup was established as the core company to promote the overall business strategy of Minami Aoyama Real Estate Co., Ltd. (https://www.ma-r.co.jp/), which develops real estate regeneration and development businesses.
Minami Aoyama Real Estate has been involved in regenerating idle real estate and aging buildings, and solving regional issues through real estate regeneration and development. In doing so, we faced the reality that simply regenerating real estate does not lead to fundamental regional revitalization.
In rural areas, depopulation and aging populations are progressing, and cultural resources carefully passed down across Japan, such as historic architecture, townscapes, food culture, and traditional crafts, are being lost without fully demonstrating their value. In considering the future of regions, we came to believe that what should truly be protected and passed on to the next generation is not just real estate, but the culture, history, and human activities that breathe life into the land.
From these aspirations, MAREGroup was established as a group that transcends the framework of real estate and develops businesses centered on Japan's cultural resources.
MAREGroup's Philosophy
Our corporate philosophy is "Keiso Japan's cultural resources, bringing richness and brilliance to people and towns."
"Keiso" means not merely preserving and inheriting cultural resources, but creating new value in line with contemporary values and lifestyles, and passing them on to the future.
Japan possesses numerous cultural resources that are the pride of the world, such as historic buildings, regional food cultures, and traditional crafts passed down through the skills of artisans. However, many of these are being lost without their value being fully utilized.
By collaborating across group companies in areas such as real estate, architecture, tourism, accommodation, food and beverage, and retail, MAREGroup will maximize the value of cultural resources, create new vibrancy and pride in regions, and serve as a bridge connecting rich culture to Japan's future. On our corporate website, we will disseminate the potential of Japan's cultural resources through various businesses and projects developed under the philosophy of "Keiso."

The World MAREGroup Aims For
"Vibrancy and pride in our regions. Color and brilliance for Japan's future."
Vibrancy is born in a region when people gather and interaction occurs.
This vibrancy then brings vitality to the town and leads to pride for the people living there.
Regional pride is passed down to the next generation, fostering a future where everyone thinks, "I want to live here," and "I want to preserve this town."
MAREGroup aims to be a company that serves as a bridge to such a world, bringing richness to people and towns through the "Keiso" initiative, which re-examines the cultural resources passed down across Japan and regenerates and utilizes them as contemporary values.
