Manies Group Inc. (hereinafter, "our company") has been comprehensively supporting JR West Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "JR West Real Estate Development") as a partner in the development of solar power plants and the formation of off-site PPA*1 schemes promoted by the company. We are pleased to announce that following the first project for the Hiroshima New Station Building "MINAMOARE," which began operation in October 2025, the second project has now commenced operation.
The JR West Group has set an environmental long-term goal of "JR West Group Zero Carbon 2050," aiming for "virtually zero" CO2 emissions across the entire group by 2050.
This project is an important step towards achieving this goal, utilizing idle land owned by West Japan Railway Company (hereinafter, "JR West"). JR West Real Estate Development owns its own solar power plant and supplies the generated renewable energy to the Hiroshima New Station Building "MINAMOARE," which is managed and operated by Chugoku SC Development Co., Ltd. With the operation of this second project, the renewable energy supply system to "MINAMOARE" will be further strengthened, accelerating decarbonization in facility operations.
Our company provided comprehensive development support from the conceptual stage of this project, including evaluating business profitability, selecting EPC contractors*2 and O&M contractors*3, designing off-site PPA schemes, and supporting smooth decision-making within the JR West Group. Furthermore, we will continue to be responsible for the operational management to ensure stable operation of the power plant even after it commences operation.
Our company will continue to support JR West Real Estate Development, contributing to the achievement of the JR West Group's environmental long-term goals and, ultimately, the realization of a sustainable decarbonized society.
