Mandom Corporation's Representative Director and Chairman Motonobu Nishimura to Receive the "Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette"

We are pleased to announce that Motonobu Nishimura, our Representative Director and Chairman, will receive the "Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette" in the Spring 2026 Honors.

The "Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette" is an order awarded to individuals who have made distinguished achievements for the state or public. This award recognizes his contributions to the development of the cosmetics industry through his company's business and his contributions to the industry through key positions in industry organizations.

Since becoming president in 1995, Nishimura has strived to create value by "contributing to consumers" through the promotion of unique, consumer-centric marketing, including fostering "Gatsby" into a global brand and pioneering the middle-aged male cosmetics market with "Lucido," thereby contributing to the creation of male grooming behavior and the development of the cosmetics market. He also actively pursued overseas expansion, growing our company into one that serves consumers in Asia and other countries, while adapting to local cultures and preferences.

In industry organizations, he has served as Chairman of the West Japan Cosmetics Industry Association and Vice Chairman of the Japan Cosmetics Industry Federation. In recent years, driven by the belief that it is necessary to strengthen the international competitiveness of Japanese cosmetics and enhance the international recognition of industry associations, he participated in discussions for the integration of three regional organizations, contributing to the establishment of the "Japan Cosmetics Industry Association" in 2023. Furthermore, as Chairman of the Nishimura Scholarship Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation, he continues to provide scholarship assistance to international students, striving to develop global talent.
