Ransomware's "Backup Destruction" Has Become a Reality In recent years, ransomware has evolved beyond mere encryption to a malicious tactic that prioritizes destroying backups to neutralize recovery methods. As a result, the situation of "unable to restore despite having backups" is no longer an unforeseen event but a "real threat." Against this backdrop, the importance of "immutable backup data" has rapidly increased, and in addition to BCP/DR requirements, the retention of reliably recoverable data is demanded from the perspective of compliance with the Supply Chain Security Evaluation System (SCSE) promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. What is required of sales partners is no longer just product introduction. Proposal capabilities are needed to design "effective backup operations" that balance "recoverability" and "operability" and also comply with systems and regulations. Valuable proposals that respond to both new threats and compliance demands faced by companies are precisely what is needed now.
While Demand is Rapidly Increasing, Proposal and Construction Systems Cannot Keep Up Although the demand for immutable storage is increasing, there are many cases where proposals and introductions do not proceed smoothly. The main reasons are the heavy burden of requirements organization, sizing, configuration selection, compatibility confirmation, and verification, which places a significant load on the construction side. While rapid deployment and low man-hours are required, insufficient design can lead to rework and additional costs, making it difficult to finalize estimates and delivery times. As a result, proposal speed decreases, competitors get ahead, or customer consideration is prolonged, leading to project stagnation and an increased risk of losing business opportunities. What is needed now is a "standard model" that anyone can propose with high reproducibility, and an introduction process that does not increase the construction load.
Fastest Introduction with CRS. CRS Appliance Sales Start on April 1st In this seminar, to achieve immutable backup in the shortest possible time, we will first explain how to smoothly proceed with proposals and introductions, focusing on CRS (Cyber Resilient Storage). We will also introduce the CRS Appliance, which went on sale on April 1st, from the perspective of how to absorb issues such as sizing and configuration selection, which tend to increase the burden with individual construction. The CRS Appliance is provided with necessary elements pre-integrated, reducing the burden of selection and compatibility review, and becoming a powerful option to accelerate proposals and construction.
