Performer Profiles

Kodai Fukuda (Cello)

Graduated from the Music Department of Aiai University. Studied for two years in Eastern Europe, Romania. Studied under Mutsu Koda, Takanori Saito, Yutaka Hayashi, Juro Aoki, Hiroyuki Kanagi, and Anton Niculescu. Received masterclass training from Takeshi Tsutsumi, Raphael Bell, and Wolfgang Bächler. Participated in festivals such as Ost-West Musikfest and Orpheus Summer International Academy. Performed at the Brasov International Cartea și Muzică Festival to acclaim. Held recitals in Sf. Gheorghe, Osaka, and Wakayama. After returning to Japan, actively performs in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. Also teaches and serves as a judge for competitions such as the Japan Classical Music Competition. Currently directs the Fukuda Violin & Cello Studio in Wakayama Prefecture, serves as Music Director of Kinokawa String Ensemble, and President of Wakayama Philharmonic Orchestra Association.

Nozomi Shirafuji (Piano)

Born in Nara Prefecture, based in Osaka Prefecture. Graduated from the Piano Performance Special Course, Instrumental Music Department, Osaka College of Music. Received a grant to attend the Vienna International Music Seminar during studies, earning a diploma. After graduation, participated in chamber music seminars across Japan, including Hida Chamber Music Seminar, Shimanami Music Festival Seminar, ACT Music Seminar, and Ueda Haruko Piano School. Performed piano concertos with orchestras and flute orchestras. Guest performer as piano and celesta player for orchestras and wind ensembles. Won First Prize at the 10th Kumonosato Music Competition and the Minakata Kumagusu Preservation and Commemoration Association President's Award (top in all categories). Received Outstanding Accompanist Awards at the 18th and 25th Great Wall Cup International Music Competition and the 25th Yangtze Cup International Music Competition. Appeared on Kansai TV's 'Yoi Don!', ABC TV's 'Cast,' NHK News (Kansai), and Radio Kansai's 'Joho Asaichi!'. Studied piano under Shinya Okahara and Yoshiji Serizawa, and chamber music under Kaya Fujii. Currently performs as an ensemble pianist in concert halls, commercial facilities, welfare institutions, schools, and various locations nationwide.
