New Initiative at the Campsite

Kamiwari-zaki Campsite has been exploring ways to utilize the site on weekdays. Leveraging the extraordinary "learning space" provided by its rich natural surroundings, we tested the potential for corporate training as a new form of utilization by inviting a training coordination company from Sendai City (Days Consulting Co., Ltd.) to conduct a training experience (monitor plan) using Kamiwari-zaki Campsite as the venue.

Program Details: "Experimental Workshop" to Co-create the Future Beyond Organizational Boundaries

For this monitor tour, we intentionally did not limit participation to a single company. Instead, we invited individuals from "different organizations" and "different positions," including businesses within Minamisanriku Town and training coordinators. As an "experiment" to break down the tension caused by being strangers or having different positions and to encourage deep dialogue, we developed a workshop based on the globally utilized dialogue method "LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®" through the following five steps:

● Build the Tallest Tower Possible: Get accustomed to using your hands and awaken creativity.

● Express Your Current Mood: Build something identical to a presented photo, projecting your current feelings.

● Shape a Moment of Growth: Express a moment of growth in your past experiences or work through your creation.

● Depict an "Ideal Organization": Visualize your ideal organization using LEGO® blocks.

● Build an Ideal Organization Together: Combine everyone's creations to construct a single, grand vision of "An Ideal Organization We'd Like to See in Minamisanriku Town."

Additionally, the program incorporated "bonfires" and "BBQ." The extraordinary environment, with the sound of the waves and the flickering flames, removed organizational barriers and titles, providing a "highly psychologically safe space" for participants to speak their minds.
