Possibilities beyond camping

Kamiwarizaki Campsite has long been exploring ways to utilize its facilities on weekdays. To verify the potential of corporate training as a new application, leveraging the extraordinary 'learning environment' provided by the rich natural surroundings, we invited a Sendai-based training coordination company (Days Consulting Co., Ltd.) to conduct a training experience (monitor plan) using the campsite as a field.

Program Details: An 'Experimental Workshop' to Transcend Organizational Boundaries and Co-create the Future

For this monitor tour, we intentionally avoided limiting participants to a single company, instead inviting individuals from 'different organizations' and 'different positions,' including local businesses in Minamisanriku Town and training coordinators. As an 'experiment' to break the ice and encourage deep dialogue, we conducted a workshop based on the globally utilized 'LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®' method, consisting of the following five steps:

● Build the tallest tower possible: Get used to working with your hands and spark creativity.

● Express your current mood: Build something identical to a presented photo to project your current state of mind.

● Shape the moment of growth: Express moments of growth from your past experiences or work through your creations.

● Visualize the 'Ideal Organization': Embody your personal vision of an ideal organization using LEGO® bricks.

● Create an ideal organization together: Combine all participants' works to build a single, large vision of 'an ideal organization we would love to have in Minamisanriku Town.'

Combining LEGO bricks

The program also integrated 'bonfires' and 'BBQs.' The extraordinary space, filled with the sound of the tide and the flickering of flames, helped remove organizational barriers and titles, providing a 'highly psychologically safe environment' where participants could speak their true minds.
