The Asahi Shimbun Company, Asahi Broadcasting Television Corporation, and LY Corporation are jointly streaming all regional tournament games of the 108th National High School Baseball Championship for free on 'Virtual High School Baseball' (https://baseball.yahoo.co.jp/hsb_vk/), a service within the sports portal 'Sports Navi' operated by LY Corporation, starting Saturday, June 13, 2026. Through 'Virtual High School Baseball,' the companies aim to promote and develop the sport by delivering various services and special video content to more fans. Live streaming of the summer championship began in 2015, starting with just 26 regional games. Since then, the number of games has expanded annually to meet the expectations of fans nationwide. In 2022, when streaming began on 'Sports Navi,' approximately 3,200 regional games were broadcast. In 2023, all 3,434 games across 49 regional tournaments were streamed, and 2025 marked the 10th anniversary. In 2026, starting with the Okinawa tournament on June 13, all regional games will be streamed for free. Some tournaments will also feature live streams of bracket draws. The national tournament, opening at Hanshin Koshien Stadium on August 5, is also scheduled for free live streaming. 'Virtual High School Baseball' continues to expand its initiatives this summer. The 'Koshien Brass Band Festival 2026' on May 31 will feature the 'Virtual High School Baseball Song' on stadium screens, along with promotional posters and fans at regional venues. On 'Sports Navi,' viewers can enjoy live video alongside scores, player information, and real-time data. Users can also post cheering comments for an immersive experience. The platform covers news, schedules, results, and tournament brackets. During regional tournaments, prefecture-specific pages allow easy access to local games and news. The 'Follow' feature allows users to receive notifications for their favorite schools via the 'Sponavi Baseball Scores' app, 'Sports Navi' app, and 'Yahoo! JAPAN' app. Furthermore, over 3,000 games will feature enriched at-bat reports, visualizing results and ball direction. A 'Replay' feature has also been added to review decisive moments. Access is simplified through 'Yahoo! JAPAN' and 'Yahoo! Search.' DVD sales for the 2026 tournament are also confirmed. Additionally, all games of the 30th National High School Women's Hardball Baseball Championship will be streamed for free.
