Luup Updates Subscription Plan Benefits, Extends Pre-Ride Reservation Time to 20 Minutes

Luup Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Daiki Okai; hereinafter "Luup") will update the benefits for subscribers of its subscription plan for the "LUUP" micro-mobility sharing service starting July 8, 2026 (Wed.), extending the reservation time before a ride from the current 10 minutes to 20 minutes.

Additionally, to allow users to experience the convenience of the subscription plan, a special opportunity will be offered from July 8 (Wed.) to July 22 (Wed.) for non-subscribers to try out the same benefit.

Background

Luup's mission is to "create infrastructure that makes every town feel like a station," and through its business, it aims to solve mobility challenges across Japan by operating the micro-mobility sharing service "LUUP." The service area has expanded to 72 municipalities in 21 prefectures, and it is used as a daily means of transportation for various purposes such as commuting to work or school, shopping, going out, and sightseeing.

Subscription Plan Benefit Update Overview

Starting July 8, 2026 (Wed.), Luup will update the benefits for its subscription plan members, extending the reservation time before a ride from the current 10 minutes (*1) to 20 minutes. This extended reservation time benefit will apply to rides in all service areas.

Doubling the reservation time will make it easier to secure time for traveling to a port or preparing before departure, allowing for a more comfortable experience in various daily travel scenarios.

While subscribed, ride fees in eligible areas (*2, for Tokyo and Osaka) are 200 yen per 30 minutes, offering a more affordable option compared to the regular pay-as-you-go rate (650 yen per 30 minutes). Additionally, with this update, benefits that make daily travel more convenient are available, such as the extension of vehicle reservation time before a ride to 20 minutes.
