From Zero Achievements to Top-Tier Universities? Loohcs志塾 Launches Specialized 2-Month Admission Program

Loohcs志塾, an expert in comprehensive selection (AO) entrance exams, has partnered with the inquiry support group ITANZI (based in Osaka, Representative: Yuzuki Yanagisawa) and West Japan Railway Company (JR West, HQ: Osaka, President: Shoji Kurasaka) to provide consistent support from activities through to entrance exams. They are implementing an 'Entrance Exam Prep Program' aimed at high school and graduated students targeting recommendation (AO/comprehensive selection) admissions.

## 1. Loohcs志塾 Kansai Branch Record and Role

Loohcs志塾 connects individual interests and 'things they want to try' to inquiry and activity achievements evaluated in applications. Secondary exam preparation is led by lecturers who are experts in recommendation admissions, including professionals in society.

## 2. Overview of the 'Advanced Inquiry Program in Collaboration with JR West'

Through this program, in collaboration with JR West, students are offered opportunities for activities that lead to inquiry and achievement records valued in university recommendation exams. The base for activities is Nishiawakura Village, Okayama Prefecture. With a population of about 1,300, it is a mountain village attracting nationwide attention as a 'mecca for local ventures.'

Starting from the '100-Year Forest Vision' announced in 2008, the village has worked on the 6th industrialization of forestry and the development of local entrepreneurs, leading to the creation of over 50 new businesses. It has been selected as an SDGs Future City by the Cabinet Office, providing an advanced field where social issues and business creation coexist.

## 3. Targeted Universities and Faculties

This initiative is a comprehensive selection prep program specialized in the characteristics and evaluation criteria of each university and faculty. It supports students who feel 'it is too late because it's June of 3rd year' in shaping their own inquiry themes. The program deadline is June 7th.

Target Universities/Faculties:
- Kansai University: Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Societal Safety Sciences
- Kwansei Gakuin University: School of Policy Studies, School of Human Welfare Studies, School of Education
- Ritsumeikan University: College of Gastronomy Management, College of Design and Arts, College of Image Arts and Sciences

## 4. Activity Schedule

From September onwards, Loohcs志塾 will conduct secondary exam preparation specialized for the universities.

A project that transforms the 'flashes of inspiration' of junior and high school students into reality. It supports inquiry activities, conducts demonstration experiments, and co-creates projects across companies, schools, and regions.
