Performer Comments Mie Kobayashi "Roudokugeki" is a story based on my real experiences. Writer/director Katsushige Fukushima came to observe a reading workshop I held in my hometown of Yuki City, Ibaraki, and said, "Let's make this a solo play," and wrote it for me. Starting in Tokyo, it was also performed in Sapporo, Furano, and Yuki City, and enjoyed by many. Synopsis "Roudokugeki" Yoshie Honda, an actress from Yuki City, Ibaraki, is asked by her former classmate Michiko, who works at the city office, to cooperate in a regional revitalization project by holding a reading workshop. The unique workshop participants practice reading for a presentation a month later, but... A heartwarming human comedy about a lecturer being pushed around by her students and the touching circumstances of each student. "Surprise" Kohei Sawada was watching a YouTube video on his way home from work. It showed a father performing the piano at his daughter's wedding. The moving video of the bride's father, a complete piano beginner, attempting a surprise performance at his daughter's wedding made him cry on a crowded train. Now, Kohei himself was facing the same situation. His daughter's marriage had been decided. The video he found at such a time lit a fire in his heart as if by fate.
