CHILDHOOD Profile

A duo consisting of Mitsuhiro Mori (handflute), a graduate of Tokyo College of Music, and Keisuke Usuda (piano).

They made their major debut in 2009. They have successfully held overseas concerts in New York, Houston, London, and at the Shanghai Expo. They have appeared on numerous TV programs such as "School Kakumei!", "Oha Suta", "Joho Live Miyaneya", and "Ongaku Kosaten". They also have a solid track record, including performing before Her Imperial Highness Princess Hisako Takamado.

■ Mitsuhiro MORI
Handflute, founder of unique playing technique and namer / Composer / Graduated from Tokyo College of Music, Department of Music Education. Coined the term "handflute" for his playing technique.

Appeared on NHK's "Hook Book Row". Began serialization in Doremi Gakufu Publishing's Monthly Songs from the October 2016 issue. He was appointed as an instructor when Heisei College of Music in Kumamoto Prefecture established a new handflute major.

On October 28, 2017, he announced a handflute textbook with a DVD.

■ Keisuke USUDA
Pianist, Composer, Arranger, Programmer / Graduated from Tokyo College of Music, Piano Performance Course, and completed the accompanying course at the same university's graduate school.

Responsible for all arrangements of CHILDHOOD's music for concerts and CDs. Examples of music provided include the opening, ending, and commercial music production for "TV Tokyo Shiawase wo Tsukuru Te no Monogatari". In 2017, he received the Chiba City Art and Culture New Artist Encouragement Award.
