LONGi (LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. / Headquarters: Xi'an, China) has been selected for the "Sustainability Yearbook 2026," a global sustainability assessment by S&P Global of the United States. Furthermore, the company ranked in the top 4% of the "Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment" industry and was also recognized as an "Industry Mover" for achieving the highest score increase within the industry compared to the previous year. LONGi Selected for S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook 2026
S&P Global, a leading global financial information services company, annually assesses companies from three aspects: environment, social, and governance (ESG), using its proprietary Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) methodology. The CSA covers sustainability assessment criteria across 62 industries, quantifying various disclosures and performance related to ESG and management to evaluate the achievement of corporate sustainability management. The S&P Global "Sustainability Yearbook 2026" selects companies that demonstrate outstanding ESG performance based on the CSA. In 2025, over 9,200 companies worldwide were assessed, and 848 of them were selected for the Yearbook*. In the "Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment" industry, 289 companies were assessed, with only 20 making it into the Yearbook. Among these, LONGi achieved a high evaluation score along with a significant year-on-year score improvement. The company was recognized for its continuous efforts and information disclosure, and was also selected as an "Industry Mover," an award given to only one company per industry that shows the most score improvement from the previous year. LONGi Also Selected as "Industry Mover"
This evaluation is based on the sustainability management that LONGi has consistently promoted. Under the Board of Directors and the Strategy and Sustainability Committee, the company deepens its efforts centered around five principles: "LIGHT" (Lead, Innovative, Green, Harmonious, Trustworthy).
In the CSA, the weighting for environmental and governance/economic fields is particularly high, with "Climate Strategy," "Waste and Pollution Management," and "Biodiversity" positioned as key items. On the environmental front, pre-project environmental impact assessments are conducted for all projects, and systematic analysis, evaluation, and management of impacts are carried out during the operational phase. Furthermore, efforts are being made to reduce pollutant emissions and waste, with a focus on the proper disposal of solid waste and the promotion of resource recycling. Additionally, the company assesses impacts on ecosystems and biodiversity, and thoroughly implements designs and operations that reduce environmental load in project development. In terms of information disclosure, LONGi issued the "2024–2025 Climate Action White Paper," presenting its strategy and action plan to achieve net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050, aligned with international disclosure frameworks (Transition Plan Task Force and IFRS S2). In 2025, the company also became an Adopter of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and published its first TNFD report, thereby advancing the setting of mid-to-long-term biodiversity goals and enhancing disclosure.
Sustainability has become a crucial indicator for measuring a company's mid-to-long-term value. This selection is not only an evaluation of LONGi's efforts to date but also an indication of expectations for further improvement in the future. LONGi will continue to deepen sustainability in R&D, smart manufacturing, and its global supply chain, and meet stakeholder expectations through digital ESG management and transparent information disclosure.
