Life Design Kabaya Launches 'Shimauma!', the 4th Concept Subdivision Housing Series Focused on Storage

Life Design Kabaya Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture) officially launched its fourth concept subdivision housing project, 'Shimauma!', a storage-focused home design, on June 11, 2026.

Key features of 'Shimauma!' include:

1. Storage exactly where you need it The design employs a 'storage plan' that places the necessary amount of storage at the point of use, effectively designing the act of tidying up itself.

2. Exceptional storage capacity The homes are equipped with ample storage space to create more room for comfortable living.

3. Clutter-free life with built-in furniture Large-capacity storage comes pre-installed, eliminating the need for additional furniture.

4. Collaboration with WoodOne The storage solutions are produced by building material manufacturer WoodOne, tailored to fit each home.

This project was developed with dual-income households in their 20s and 30s in mind, aiming to eliminate the small, daily time-wasters like tidying up, searching for lost items, and moving laundry around. Dedicated house architects meticulously planned the storage placement based on family structure and daily life scenarios to create a living environment that is easy to keep organized.

Life Design Kabaya has achieved the highest number of low-rise housing starts in the Chugoku region for five consecutive years and in Okayama Prefecture for nine consecutive years, operating a wide range of businesses primarily centered on wooden housing.
