LAPRAS Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kentaro Someya; hereinafter "LAPRAS") has added a new "AI Product Development Experience/Interest" label to the "AI Skill Highlight" feature of its engineer recruitment service, "LAPRAS." This feature uses AI to automatically identify and visualize the latent skills and experience of candidates. This update enables recruiters to discover engineers capable of AI product development without overlooking potential candidates whose experience or interest may not be readily apparent in their work history.

Background With the rapid adoption of generative AI, there is a surging demand for engineers capable of implementing and developing AI functions within company products and systems. Companies are strongly seeking talent who possess not only coding skills but also the ability to drive AI-integrated product development. The engineer recruitment market is undergoing a major shift from "quantitative hiring" to "selecting talent who can contribute immediately."

However, engineers with practical experience in AI product development remain rare in the market, leading to intense recruitment competition. Therefore, the key to successful hiring lies in identifying potential candidates who have been involved in AI implementation or development, or who have a strong interest in the field, even if they have not explicitly stated "AI product development" on their resumes. It is not easy for recruiters to read through every candidate's work history to determine their level of involvement in AI development due to the significant time and effort required.

New Feature Details We have added the "AI Product Development Experience/Interest" label to the "AI Skill Highlight" feature.

What is the "AI Product Development Experience/Interest" label? LAPRAS analyzes the job summaries and work history information registered on the platform and automatically assigns this label to candidates determined to have experience in developing AI-powered products or systems, or those with a strong interest in AI product development.

Currently, approximately 3,300 candidates registered on "LAPRAS" have been identified as meeting the criteria for this label (*), and they can be filtered via the candidate search screen.

* Calculated based on candidate data registered on LAPRAS as of March 2026 (Research by LAPRAS).

Utilization through combination with existing labels The AI Skill Highlight feature already provides the following three types of labels: - People Management Experience: Candidates with experience in personnel evaluation, compensation, and promotion decisions for team members. - Engineering Lead Experience: Candidates with experience in identifying technical challenges within a development team and proactively driving their resolution. - PM/PL Experience: Candidates with experience managing entire projects as a person in charge or leader of customer-facing system development projects.

By combining the new label with these existing ones, recruiters can perform filtered searches that meet complex hiring requirements, such as finding "engineers who have AI product development experience and can also lead a technical team."

[Benefits for both companies and engineers]

For Companies: They can efficiently identify candidates who can contribute to AI product development from the initial screening stage, leading to reduced recruitment man-hours and improved hiring accuracy.

For Engineers: Their level of involvement and interest in AI development, which is difficult to convey through a resume alone, is visualized by this feature, expanding opportunities for matching with companies that correctly evaluate their strengths.

LAPRAS will continue to develop features that combine our proprietary data and AI technology to visualize the value of engineers from multiple perspectives, achieving the best possible matching for both companies and engineers.

Future Outlook The demand for engineers capable of AI product development is expected to continue growing. LAPRAS will continue to expand the types of labels in the AI Skill Highlight feature to strengthen our response to the diversifying needs of engineer recruitment. Furthermore, by continuously improving the accuracy of AI-driven skill and experience analysis, we will advance development to more accurately capture the capabilities and aspirations of candidates that are difficult to visualize through resume descriptions alone.
