LAPRAS Inc. (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kentaro Someya; hereinafter referred to as LAPRAS) has added the new "AI Product Development Experience/Aspiration" label to its "AI Skill Highlight" feature within the engineer recruitment service "LAPRAS." This AI-powered function automatically identifies and visualizes candidates' potential skills and experience. The addition allows companies to discover engineers capable of AI product development, including those with latent experience or aspirations that may not be apparent from their work history.

Background

Against the backdrop of the rapid proliferation of generative AI, the demand for engineers who can implement and develop AI features in proprietary products and systems has surged. Companies are strongly seeking talent capable of driving product development incorporating AI, not just coding skills. The engineer recruitment market is at a major turning point, shifting from quantitative hiring to the selection of immediately effective personnel.

However, engineers with practical experience in AI product development are still rare in the overall market, and recruitment competition is intensifying. Therefore, the key to successful recruitment lies in discovering and unearthing potential candidates who have been involved in the implementation and development of AI features, or who have strong aspirations in this area, even if it's not explicitly stated as "AI Product Development" on their resumes. For recruiters, manually reviewing each candidate's work history to assess their involvement in AI development is not easy due to the time and effort involved.
