● About EAP EAP (Employee Assistance Program) is an employee support service originating in the United States, where employers provide opportunities for employees to consult with specialists regarding personal issues such as mental health, life, or physical problems.

It identifies and resolves workplace organizational issues related to productivity and employees' personal problems that may affect job performance, thereby realizing employee happiness, improving productivity and customer satisfaction, and leading to company growth.

While it is being introduced in Japan, mainly by large corporations, it primarily involves consultations with counselors, and there are few companies that have established a system for easily consulting with lawyers.

In EAP, it is envisioned that doctors, counselors, lawyers, and various other specialists will collaborate to support companies and their employees. Among them, lawyers play a crucial role in adjusting the environment to what it should be for companies and their employees through appropriate dispute resolution and prevention.

● About the General Incorporated Association Lawyers EAP Association The Lawyers EAP Association was established with the desire to popularize and promote "Lawyer EAP," a new form of employee support, by bringing together the professional knowledge, experience, and network of lawyers, and to support companies struggling with labor shortages and their employees.

As of March 2026, our association has 236 member lawyers from 40 prefectures and 21 corporate/organizational supporting members. Under the vision of "Enabling everyone in Japan to access and consult with lawyers!", we are working to popularize and promote Lawyer EAP.
