Fumiya Fujii's second nationwide tour, 'FUTATABI,' which began in April 2025, has successfully concluded after 67 performances across all 47 prefectures of Japan, drawing an audience of approximately 145,000. The singing journey, lasting over a year, came to a close on July 12 at Tokyo International Forum.

As the lights dimmed at the start of the show, fans' wristbands lit up like stars, sparking waves of applause and cheers. Amidst the drum roll, Fujii made a dashing entrance in a black suit and hat. Greeting the crowd, he said, 'It’s the final day of the tour—more than happy, I feel a deep sense of loneliness.' He performed 24 songs, including hits from his Checker days, F-BLOOD, and his solo career. Midway through, emotional moments arose during 'TRUE LOVE' and 'Sunao ni I’m Sorry,' and especially during the ballad 'Another Orion,' which began as if emerging from the night sky, with audience members seen wiping away tears. As the concert neared its end, Fujii energized the crowd: 'Let’s finish strong with an 8-beat rhythm!' Starting with 'Gizagiza Heart no Komoriuta,' followed by 'Juria ni Shoushin,' classic rock 'n' roll tracks from the Checker era electrified the venue. With claps, chants, and synchronized choreography, the atmosphere reached its peak. The finale featured a shower of gold and silver streamers, symbolizing the end of the tour. Amidst continuous chants of 'Fumiya! Fumiya!', the encore began with 'Song for U.S.A.,' where Fujii addressed fans: 'As long as you’re alive, I’ll keep singing—please come see me again and again.' Raising a can of beer with his band, he led the entire audience in a toast: 'Cheers to everyone!' Celebrating the tour’s completion, he declared, 'It’s over—but ending means a new beginning!'—and unveiled his new song, 'Kokoro,' delivering it with powerful vocals and stage presence until the very last note.

After the show, Fujii spoke to the gathered media. Reflecting on the tour, he said with a smile, 'It was long, but going out to each region gave me a real sense of connection. It felt like I spent a whole year with my fans.' When asked about the secret to his enduring energy—especially as he had just celebrated his birthday the day before—he joked, 'I just have to live seriously,' adding, 'Being on stage feels like anti-aging. You need to stay healthy to sing with joy.' His dedication to delivering top performances was evident. Looking ahead, he said, 'As long as I can sing on stage in good health, I don’t need anything else,' expressing deep appreciation for his lasting bond with fans.

True to his words, 'An end is a beginning,' a new journey has already begun. In October 2026, Fujii will hold a 360-degree arena concert, 'Fumiya Fujii ARENA LIVE 2026 360°,' at Osaka-jō Hall and Nippon Budokan. On the concert’s highlights, he said with a smile, 'It’ll be a culmination of two full tours, packed with hit songs. A 360-degree circular stage is nearly twice as tiring, so I’ll have to stay focused. I’ll keep living seriously.' The special, immersive experience of a center stage performance in October is highly anticipated. Fumiya Fujii’s journey of artistic challenge continues.
