Inspired by Plato's dialogue "Symposium," a record of a banquet discussing "Eros (love)," the key visual for Ataru Nakamura's 20th Anniversary Concert "Chapter 1 -Kyōen-" has been released. This concert celebrates Nakamura's 20 years of activity, inviting luxurious guests with whom she has deep ties, such as Kaname Nemoto (Stardust Revue), Yo Hitoto, and Dorian Lolibrizida, to discuss "Nakamura 'Eros' Ataru." Additionally, a comment from Ataru Nakamura regarding this performance has also been released.
[Ataru Nakamura's Comment] I believe that for a long time since I started my activities, I was swayed by my own upbringing. I also think that speculations, misunderstandings, and expectations from others accelerated this. My life's theme might be resistance, or perhaps nonchalance, but after 20 years of activity, what I feel is that I love the time when I don't have to think about those things. I trust music that gives me moments where I don't have to self-question. It's like a state of being engrossed without realizing whether it's painful or comfortable, where the realization comes later—that's the kind of time live performances offer. I am truly grateful to be able to hold a 20th-anniversary performance. I'm sure the attendees also trust music and feel similarly, and I've been able to continue thanks to such people. Let's spend time together where we can be so engrossed that we can put aside our own reality and feelings.
The concept that "everyone is fascinated by 'Eros (love)' without knowing its true nature" was expressed through a montage photograph of Ataru Nakamura by art director Gaku Azuma and photographer Tadashi Minamoto. This key visual will be displayed from April 6 (Monday) in advertisements at stations in Tokyo and on large screens in Shinjuku Kabukicho. Ataru Nakamura is currently receiving rave reviews for her role as the heroine in the popular rock musical "Gaudi x Gaudi," co-starring Kenji Sawada and Daichi Watanabe. She has also appeared in acclaimed works such as the musical "Poupelle of Chimney Town," the film "Blue Boy Incident," and the Netflix film "This Is I." Furthermore, she provided the theme song "Gujin no Ryugi" for the stage play "Shinigami" starring Hikaru Makishima, which opens on April 11 (Saturday). Ataru Nakamura, who continues to evolve by transforming all her diverse activities into her own flesh and blood, is a rare talent in the entertainment world. The performance promises to be overwhelming with the soulful singing and unique performance of a spirit that has continued to resist fate.
