Nicolai Bergmann Unveils 5th Anniversary Flower Installation at Asama Kūzanbō, Resonating with Mount Asama's Nature

Godo Kaisha Kūzanbō Club (Headquarters: Agatsuma-gun, Gunma Prefecture), which operates the private villa resort "Asama Kūzanbō," has implemented a special flower design project with world-renowned floral artist Nicolai Bergmann to commemorate its 5th anniversary on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The concept for the 5th-anniversary project, including this collaboration, has been decided as "To the depths of Asama, where the sky, mountains, and five senses breathe," and we will convey our gratitude to everyone.

In this project, Nicolai Bergmann himself visited the site, directly experiencing the facility's space and natural environment, and created flower installations in multiple spaces such as guest rooms, lounges, and restaurants. A special spatial presentation that harmonizes with the magnificent nature of Mount Asama, which can only be seen here, has been realized.

## Special Flower Design Inspired by the Great Natural Space

For this decoration, purple was adopted as the base color, which stands out against the facility's monotone interior. By combining powerful branches, warm wooden vessels, and Arita ware vessels originally created by Nicolai Bergmann, the harmony between flowers, vessels, and space was pursued. Designs that integrate with the natural environment of Mount Asama surrounding the facility are incorporated throughout.

## Meticulous Handcrafting Process

In the creation of the works, vibrant designs like living flowers are created through meticulous handwork, such as wiring each hydrangea flower individually, coiling leaves into loops, and arranging them with tweezers. Approximately 80% of this production process is spent on preparation at a studio in Tokyo, with the final design adjusted to the space on-site.

## Limited Edition Flower Box Expressing the Silhouette of Mount Asama

To commemorate the 5th anniversary, a specially designed flower box was also created. The side of the box features a design motif of the silhouette of Mount Asama, expressing a connection with nature not only through the flowers but also through the entire package. The work uses approximately 20 types of flowers and leaves, and the design emphasizes a beautiful round form from any angle.
