Kume Sekkei to Hold "Kume Photo Contest 2026" on the Theme of "My Memories and Architecture," Continuing to Create Architecture that is Passed Down as Memories

Our company supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to express dreams. This press release is a dream of Kume Sekkei Co., Ltd.

At Kume Sekkei, we aim to enrich people's lives and society through architecture. Once completed, architecture becomes part of the city's landscape, a place where people gather, and a catalyst for encounters. We believe that the innovation and communities born from these interactions contribute to enriching people and society.

What is important is that this richness is not temporary, but lives on with the feelings of those involved in the architecture, adapting to changes in the times and taking root as part of life. We believe that architecture is called upon to live on, with memories of the place being passed down through generations, fostering new values and possibilities from these accumulated experiences.

Passing by it every day on the way to school, spending holidays with loved ones, discovering a new "like" during a casual visit... From ordinary daily life to special moments that stir the heart, each person's rich experiences accumulated in that place are etched into their memory, eventually becoming irreplaceable recollections.

Our role is to understand and consider social issues by observing the appearance of architecture loved by the city and the experiences of people gathered there, and to apply this to our designs. We will continue to sincerely engage with architecture and strive to create buildings that stay close to human activities and generate rich experiences.

To realize our dream, we are holding the Kume Photo Contest 2026.

This year's theme is "My Memories and Architecture." Please share your memories of architecture in your mind, along with a photo of that place. Each photo you submit will be an opportunity to create new value for architecture.
