KRAFTON JAPAN Co., Ltd. announced that its creative studio, Unknown Worlds, has released the 8th developer blog (Vlog) video 'Subnautica 2 Dev Vlog - Swimming Forward' for the early access underwater adventure game 'Subnautica 2'. The vlog outlines short- and long-term updates based on player feedback. Key adjustments already implemented via two early hotfixes include increased resource acquisition, along with reduced predator attack frequency and damage to improve exploration. Future updates will enhance the 'Biomod' system by adding passive slots and early-game survival options. Driven by community requests, developers are working on new features such as proximity voice chat, emotes, and additional character customization. Major content updates will introduce new vehicles and expand exploration areas, focusing on regions inhabited by the massive 'Collector Leviathan'. Fernando Melo, Executive Producer, noted the team released two hotfixes within a week of early access launch to address player inputs. Subnautica 2 supports up to 4-player co-op. It launched on PC and Xbox Series on May 15, 2026, for 3,370 JPY.
