Kracie Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., a company that sells ethical and over-the-counter drugs with a focus on Kampo medicines, held a series of lectures for medical professionals titled "KB2 Stick Festival!" across six locations nationwide in February.
Since launching our ethical Kampo extract preparations in 1981, we have been proposing treatments using Kampo medicine as part of patient-centered care. In response to patient feedback such as "I want to reduce the number of doses per day" and "I often forget to take my midday dose," we launched the "KB2 Stick" in 2002, the first ethical Kampo extract preparation designed to be taken twice a day. Every February, the month the "KB2 Stick" series was born, we hold lectures across the country. This year, the events were held in six locations: Hokkaido, Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Kumamoto. We were joined by many medical professionals, with 378 attending in person and 284 participating online. The lectures covered a wide range of topics, including menopause, geriatric medicine, and stress, highlighting the utility of Kampo medicine. ■ About Kracie's Ethical Kampo Medicines In 1981, we launched Kampo medicines, which have developed uniquely in Japan since ancient times, as ethical Kampo extract preparations. While Kampo medicine was traditionally decocted and taken, extract preparations have made it easier for patients to take. In addition to fine granules, we have added tablet-type products to our lineup for patients who dislike the taste or smell of Kampo medicine. Subsequently, in response to patient feedback, we launched the "KB2 Stick" in 2002. It features a compact design, a small opening for easy consumption, and stick packaging suitable for carrying. We are the only company in the ethical Kampo extract preparation market to offer a twice-daily dosage type that matches the diverse lifestyles of people living today. We will continue to provide preparations that can be chosen according to the patient's lifestyle. ■ About Kracie Pharmaceuticals
