You'll overcome various stage gimmicks and reach your destination by utilizing a variety of octopus-specific abilities, including camouflage by changing color to match the surrounding environment, blinding enemies with a large ink spray underwater, moving with suction cups on walls and ceilings, and infiltrating narrow gaps.

The setting is a certain location on the Atlantic coast of America in the mid-1950s.

A young octopus named "Darwin" is taken to a strange food factory. In reality, the factory is part of a grand conspiracy, with disguised aliens manufacturing canned fish mixed with a green substance to enslave humans.

"Darwin" proceeds through the giant factory and discovers a hidden underwater passage leading to the aliens' secret base at the bottom of the abyss.
