Cocoromil Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Daiki Hayashi), a developer of medical devices and provider of health analysis services, is pleased to announce the success of its first demonstration experiment using the new model of its next-generation wearable electrocardiograph, "kokolog MD," currently under development, as part of Yamanashi Prefecture's "9th TRY! YAMANASHI! Demonstration Experiment Support Project."

This new model focuses on "sleep monitoring," a major health challenge for modern people, while maintaining the accuracy of conventional medical-grade long-term electrocardiogram analysis (arrhythmia detection). Through this demonstration, high satisfaction with the device's operability and overall experience, as well as high utility in promoting user behavioral change, were demonstrated.

Features of the New Model "kokolog MD"

Based on the long-term electrocardiogram data collection technology cultivated with the conventional "Home Heart Dock®," the simple experience of just attaching it to the chest remains the same, with the following sleep analysis functions enhanced:

Precise measurement of heart rate trends and thoracic movement (respiratory pressure)

Tracking of sleeping posture (position)

Multifaceted analysis of the sleep environment through snoring sound collection

This enables comprehensive visualization (screening) of not only the risk of heart disease but also sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) and stress conditions caused by the autonomic nervous system, all with a single device.

User Experience (UX) Evaluation Based on Questionnaire Results

The new model received very high ratings in a questionnaire (17 respondents) targeting participants of the demonstration experiment.

High Intention for Continued Use: 88% of respondents answered "I would like to use a similar system in the future," significantly exceeding the initial target of 80%.

Operability and Satisfaction: A total of 71% found it "very easy to handle/somewhat easy to handle" regarding ease of attachment and removal, 65% found the start of measurement easy to understand, and a total of 78% were satisfied with the overall experience.

User Behavioral Change: Free-response comments (see below) demonstrated that it served as a catalyst for participants to objectively view their own health and take positive actions.

I want to measure for multiple days, not just one.

I knew I had stress, but seeing the poor quality of my sleep so clearly

made me more positive about improving my future lifestyle.

The speed and the concise, clear explanations were good.

It was a great opportunity to objectively understand my own physical condition.

It was good to know my body's condition during sleep.

I want to experience it regularly.

Future Improvements and Prospects in Product Development

In this initial demonstration, 77% of users responded that they were able to use the device without problems. However, some users provided feedback regarding skin irritation, stating that "the adhesive strength of the electrode sheet was too strong." In response, we will proceed with further UX improvements, such as adopting new electrode sheet materials that significantly reduce skin irritation, for practical application and general market release.

About Home Heart Dock Pro

"Home Heart Dock Pro" is a long-term electrocardiogram examination service that can be performed at home.

By attaching a small electrocardiograph to the chest, electrocardiogram data is collected for over 9 hours. A clinical laboratory technician analyzes the results and provides a report. Long-term electrocardiogram measurement can detect hidden risks of heart disease that may not be found in the approximately 15-second examinations typically performed during conventional health checkups and medical examinations.

Furthermore, it detects signs of sleep apnea syndrome (SAS), sleep quality, and stress all at once.

An online clinic is also available, allowing users to consult with a doctor from home or receive a referral letter to a university hospital if desired.

While using medical equipment, Home Heart Dock Pro allows for examinations at home, providing easy access to medical-grade testing without the need for hospital visits. It is popular not only among busy middle-aged and elderly individuals but also among those in areas with difficult access to hospitals and the elderly.

Cocoromil Inc.

- Mission: "Towards a society where no one regrets due to illness" - Eliminating sudden deaths worldwide -

We operate various businesses, including "Home Heart Dock®," which allows for easy and convenient electrocardiogram checks equivalent to those at medical institutions from the comfort of one's home. By acquiring long-term data, we aim to "save 100 million lives worldwide that would otherwise be lost to sudden death" by early visualization of heart disease risks that are often overlooked in conventional health checkups and medical examinations. Furthermore, through the acquired data, we aim to enable many people to visualize their own and their family's health status, thereby improving their healthspan and QOL (Quality of Life).
