Kodansha is holding an event in Shibuya to celebrate the release of Volume 2 of the manga Subaru and Suisei, displaying the cars of both the new and original protagonists.

Kodansha's Young Magazine serialized work — the latest title in the legendary street racing manga series by Shuichi Shigeno, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year — Subaru and Suisei (the sequel to Initial D and MF Ghost) releases its Volume 2 on Friday, March 6.
To commemorate this, the '#InitialDNeverEnds' Vol. 2 launch event will be held over two days — Saturday March 28 and Sunday March 29 — at Inari Bridge Plaza in front of Shibuya Stream.
The dream of becoming the fastest on public roads, pursued by Initial D protagonist Fujiwara Takumi, has been inherited by Subaru and Suisei's two protagonists: Sato Subaru and Kudo Suisei — two people both named 'Subaru.'
In celebration, a 'Soul Inheritance' display will feature Subaru's beloved car the BRZ (Subaru BRZ) alongside Takumi's beloved AE86 (Toyota AE86), parked side by side.
Additionally, a limited reprint of Initial D Volume 1 — 'the story where it all began' — will be distributed, limited to 2,000 copies.
