The long-established Western confectionery maker Colombin and Kobunsha will co-host a special event inspired by the much-talked-about book 'The Wonderful World of Retro Cakes' published by Kobunsha.

This book carefully unravels the charm of 'retro cakes', loved by many from the Showa era to the early Heisei era, along with abundant episodes. The major appeal of this event is that you can actually 'taste and experience' this worldview of retro cakes—somewhat nostalgic, yet new.

On the day of the event, we will welcome the author, Pu Nakata, who will talk about the thoughts put into the book, secret stories from gathering information, and the depth of Japanese Western confectionery culture.
