funwave Inc. has grand opened its second "Private Kitchen Palm" rental kitchen, the Yokohama Kannai store, in April 2026. This service addresses the rising costs of dining out by offering a "self-catering party" experience where customers can bring their own ingredients and cook together. The first store, Shonan Fujisawa, which opened in August 2025, has already gained significant popularity. The Yokohama Kannai store is located at Suzuki Building 2F, 1-6-3 Isezakicho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, a 3-minute walk from Kannai Station. It measures approximately 36 square meters and can accommodate up to 23 people. Facilities include a large island kitchen, a full-scale oven, microwave, refrigerator, various cooking utensils and tableware, a 50-inch large monitor, a 100-inch projector, and Wi-Fi. Cost comparisons indicate that using Kitchen Palm can be significantly cheaper than traditional dining options, with an estimated cost of 5,000 yen per person for a 4-hour private rental (2,500 yen for venue + 2,500 yen for ingredients/alcohol), compared to 8,000-11,000 yen for restaurants.
