Experience the Forests of Hinohara Village in the Heart of Tokyo: Kinko's Toranomon Hosts 'Forest Seen from the City'

Kinko's Japan Co., Ltd. is collaborating with the forestry company Tokyo Chainsaws Co., Ltd. to host an exhibition titled 'Forest Seen from the City' at the Kinko's Toranomon store from May 28 to July 31. This exhibition introduces the forest resources and forestry initiatives of Hinohara Village, Tokyo, through the urban store space. Focusing on the connection between everyday materials like paper and wood and the forest, the exhibition offers an experiential display for business people in the busy Toranomon area to feel closer to nature. Our lives are supported by the blessings of the forest, such as paper, wood, air, and water. However, forests need to be not only 'protected' but also 'used, nurtured, and circulated' appropriately. For people living and working in the city, the forest often feels distant. This exhibition visualizes the connection between the city and the forest by combining Kinko's on-demand manufacturing—'making what is needed, only when needed'—with Tokyo Chainsaws' 'forest circulation' initiatives. As a company that handles printing paper daily, Kinko's aims to make the connection between materials and the forest more accessible.
