KG Motors Completes Business Pilot Program for Ultra-Compact EV 'mibot' at Five Chugoku Bank Locations in Okayama

The Chugoku Bank, Ltd., Chugin Capital Partners Co., Ltd., and KG Motors Corporation announced today the results of a proof-of-concept (PoC) study regarding the business use of 'mibot,' a one-seater ultra-compact EV developed and mass-produced by KG Motors. The PoC was conducted over approximately three weeks, from April 13 to May 1, 2026, across five locations of The Chugoku Bank in Okayama Prefecture.

The PoC yielded an 86% complementary affirmation rate among actual business users and a 100% overall satisfaction rate among employees in their 20s, quantitatively confirming its utility as a business vehicle for retail banking operations. Based on these results, full-scale adoption has been decided for the Okayama Minami Branch—a PoC site—and the newly added Saijo Life Plan Center (Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture), with further efforts underway toward full operational implementation.

[Key Validation Results] 1. The overall complementary affirmation rate reached 78%, rising to 86% among actual business users. 2. Customer visits and outside sales recorded the highest levels, with a 90% complementary affirmation rate, 90% overall satisfaction, and an average rating of 4.1/5.0. 3. Confirmed its position as an option for 'complementary usage' alongside existing company motorbikes and light cars. 4. Satisfaction among employees in their 20s was 100%, leading all age groups. Satisfaction among women was 5 percentage points higher than among men, demonstrating high compatibility with young and female employees. 5. Numerous comments cited its ability to address issues related to rainy/inclement weather, narrow roads, short-distance travel, and parking availability.
