For livability, the top rank for the third consecutive year is Koori Town, Date District. Second is Koriyama City, and third is Motomiya City.

○ Koori Town, Date District Ranks First for the Third Consecutive Year

Located in the northern Nakadori region of Fukushima Prefecture, it is a town rich in nature adjacent to Fukushima City. It offers convenient access to Fukushima City by train in about 15 minutes and is also easily accessible to the Sendai area, making it a town with good transportation convenience, ranking first for three consecutive years.

○ Sukagawa City Enters the Top 5

This area is adjacent to Koriyama City and is equipped with commercial facilities and medical institutions such as a general hospital. It also offers good access to JR lines, expressways, and Fukushima Airport, making it a town that combines convenience and ease of living. It has moved up from 6th place last year to 5th place.

* The "Livability Ranking" is compiled by accumulating responses from five years, from 2022 to 2026. However, if the cumulative number of respondents for each municipality does not reach the specified 50 people from 2022 to 2026, responses from 2021 are also accumulated. If the number still does not meet the specification even after adding 2021, responses from 2020 will be accumulated, and if still insufficient, responses from 2019 will be accumulated. There are no duplicate respondents.

"Ii Heya Net Desirable Towns Ranking 2026 <Fukushima Prefecture Edition>" Key Points

The top two desirable towns for the fourth consecutive year are Sendai City (1st place) and Koriyama City (2nd place). Third place is Tokyo's 23 wards for the second consecutive year.

Sendai City has ranked first for four consecutive years. Koriyama City is second for the fourth consecutive year, and Tokyo's 23 wards are third for the second consecutive year. Iwaki City ranks fourth for the third consecutive year, and Sapporo City newly ranks fifth.

75.5% Approve of Their Current Town

"No particular town I want to live in" (56.5%) and "I want to continue living in my current town" (19.0%) total 75.5%, indicating a continued positive evaluation of their current towns from last year.
