Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kei Takeuchi) has conducted one of the largest residential satisfaction surveys and compiled the 'E-heya Net Livability Ranking 2026 <Tochigi Edition>' and 'E-heya Net Desired City Ranking 2026 <Tochigi Edition>'. Key points of the Livability Ranking: Mibu Town ranked 1st, followed by Utsunomiya City and Kaminokawa Town. Mibu Town, located in the southern part of the prefecture, is the most populous town in Tochigi. Historically a post town on the Nikko Nishi-kaido, it is now known for its industrial parks and convenient access, including four Tobu Line stations and the Mibu IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway. Two of the top three are towns in rural districts. Key points of the Desired City Ranking: Utsunomiya City has ranked 1st for 4 consecutive years, followed by Tokyo 23 Wards. Saitama City ranked 3rd for 2 consecutive years. 79.1% of respondents are positive about their current city.
