This press release represents the dream of 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri), TAKT-JAPAN Co., Ltd.'
We support 'April Dream,' a project that encourages companies to share their dreams on April 1st.
◆ Introduction 'Inheritance'—just hearing the word makes people think it’s troublesome, difficult, or something they want to leave to someone else. You are not alone in feeling this way.
In Japan, nearly 1.4 million people pass away every year, and an equal number of 'inheritances' occur. However, many people do not know where to start. Even those who do not need to pay inheritance tax often pay fees to professionals to handle it, or they leave the procedures untouched, which frequently leads to 'inheritance disputes' (so-called 'sozoku' or 'fighting over inheritance').
We want to change this common perception from the ground up. That is the sentiment from which we developed 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri).'
◆ What is 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)'? 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' is an entirely new paper-based support file designed so that anyone can resolve inheritance procedures 'with their own hands.'
You might wonder, 'Can I really handle inheritance myself?' The answer is YES.
Simply gather the documents required by government offices and financial institutions 'in order' and 'copy over' the necessary information. No difficult legal jargon is required. By filling it out and preparing according to your family structure, you can properly divide your loved ones' assets without immediately hiring a professional.
No study is required. It features an overwhelming sense of security and a guarantee of completion, knowing that if you give up halfway, a 'teacher' is just one call away to guide you.
From the moment you open this file, the structure is designed to make anyone feel, 'I can do this.' If your hand stops while writing, don't panic. It stays by your side like a guide—that is 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri).' It is a system different from standard inheritance books.
We do not consider this merely a product. It is a form of 'culture' and a shift in 'mindset.' The goal of 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' is to be the catalyst that makes you realize, 'You don't have to make your family's future complicated.'
◆ 'Democratizing Inheritance' to Change Society We aim for the 'democratization of inheritance.' A society where everyone can naturally handle inheritance procedures themselves. A society where families, after suddenly needing to handle an inheritance, can proceed with necessary steps calmly and without confusion.
Such a society does not yet exist in Japan. However, through this book, that future is certainly drawing closer.
◆ Reaching People Because It Is 'Analog' There is a reason we insisted on an analog form: a 'paper file.' The majority of inheritance procedures are still part of a paper-based culture. Government offices, banks, and legal affairs bureaus all require 'paper documents.'
Furthermore, there are over 1,600 municipalities in Japan. Every municipality has different forms, different names for documents, and different requirements.
That is why we chose the form of a file that can be 'held in your hands.' It carries the weight and reality of passing on the final 'baton' of life. It is not a cloud service or an app; because it is 'paper' passed on through 'hands and hearts,' the 'wishes' reach the surviving family. That conviction is embedded in its form.
◆ Our Ambition: The Challenge to Become a 10-Billion-Yen Enterprise Sales of 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' have just begun. The world doesn't know us yet, but we are serious.
We will deliver one copy to every household in the country and spread the awareness across Japan that 'this is an era where you can handle inheritance yourself.'
Our goals are clear: - By the end of fiscal year 2025, introduce it to 1% (approx. 10,000 households) of the 1 million households where inheritance occurs annually and no inheritance tax is required. - Aim to exceed a cumulative total of 240,000 households by the end of fiscal year 2027 (approx. 3% market share). - Annual sales of 500,000 copies (including ripple effects from repeat purchases and referrals by funeral homes and life insurance companies). - Establishing 'self-support' as a new option in the inheritance market. - Coexistence and development of complementary services through collaboration with professionals. - Realizing an annual sales scale of 10 billion yen through related service expansion, corporate contracts, and public partnerships.
The price is 4,400 yen (tax included) per copy. At this price point, the profit per household is limited, but the value is created not by the 'number of copies,' but by 'collaboration' and 'expansion.'
It may look like a small unit price at first glance, but the economic impact generated by that one book is immeasurable. Our estimates suggest an average savings of 100,000 to 300,000 yen per book (estimated based on professional service fees).
Also, only about 20% of cases require an inheritance tax return; in other words, over 80% of inheritances are cases where 'no tax is owed, but procedures are still necessary.' Our main target is exactly these people who are unsure if they need a professional.
Even if just 5% of them—about 40,000 households per year—adopt it, the economic impact could reach up to 12 billion yen (300,000 yen x 40,000 households). If it spreads to 240,000 households over three years, the total economic impact is expected to reach approximately 72 billion yen—this is the potential of a 'social infrastructure' that goes beyond a mere document file.
Furthermore, this system, which allows families to share the procedures, has the psychological effect of reducing 'I didn't know,' 'It was hard to talk about,' and 'We fought.'
◆ Aiming for a Society with 'Zero Inheritance Disputes' In the future of Japan, when a family member passes away, no one will be lost wondering, 'What should I do first?'
A family member will be able to say, 'Oh, we have Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri), so we're okay for now.'
We want to create that kind of society.
Everyone can prepare to close their own life. Without causing trouble for anyone, they can pass the baton with gratitude. That is the future we envision.
◆ The Trigger for Development and a Turning Point in Life When I decided to develop 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri),' I was at a major turning point in my life. The moment I obtained the patent, I was convinced, 'This is my mission.'
This product is not just a stack of paper. It is a symbol of a challenge to redesign the 'common sense' of society.
◆ 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' as a Supportive Brand From the moment you hold the product, your mind feels at ease. With every page you turn, you feel, 'Maybe I can do this too.' And if you get stuck, there is the security of knowing you can 'rely on a teacher.'
This design is meant to make you feel the trust of a partner who will never betray you, rather than something to be merely revered. Don't rush to finish; if you take it one step at a time, you will definitely finish. You are not alone.
'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' is a book that meets the anxiety that visits everyone head-on.
◆ Creating the Future with Innovators We do not consider this project a mere product rollout. 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' is a challenge to rethink the structure of society itself and redefine the values of family connections and the end of life.
And this major change cannot be achieved by our power alone.
Those of you who pick this up and feel, 'This is interesting' or 'This will change things,' are the innovators who will move society.
We are convinced that together with all of you who will help create and spread this movement, we will change the era.
It may be a small book. But it has the impact to change the future of families, change the overall view of inheritance in society, and bring warmth and order to the final chapter of people's lives.
Speaking of numbers, we have set a goal of '10 billion yen in annual sales,' but if calculated calmly, we cannot reach that with a price of 2,640 yen [sic] through simple volume alone. However, we are aiming for 'social value creation' on a 10-billion-yen scale through the diversification of social implementation, such as: - Partnership for introduction with municipalities, hospitals, and nursing care providers - Development of related goods and collaborative services - Expansion of corporate sales and donation models
'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' is a book that crystallizes the desire to be of service to someone. We are truly looking forward to building this culture together with all of you innovators.
◆ In Closing If you feel that 'inheritance is confusing,' please pick up 'Inheritance in One Book (Keisho no Tsuzuri)' at least once.
If inheritance changes, the scenery of the end of life changes.
We have also developed an end-of-life product called 'Keisho no Akashi' (Proof of Succession).
