[April Dream] From Support to Co-creation: Aiming for an Inclusive Society Where Everyone Works "Naturally," Regardless of Disability

Since its establishment in 2017, KEIPE Inc. (Headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture) has pursued the vision of "a society where disabilities are not special, and everyone belongs." We aim to realize an inclusive society where "support" transforms into "co-creation."

The Origin of Realization: The Challenge of "COLERE," a Restaurant Where 10 Out of 12 Staff Members Have Disabilities

Universal Cafe & Restaurant "COLERE" opened in May 2024. This is not merely a place for people with disabilities to work; it's a place where "people with disabilities are naturally the protagonists, both front-of-house and back-of-house." Out of 12 staff members, 10 have intellectual, physical, or mental disabilities, but there are no boundaries (borders) with able-bodied individuals. Each person supports the business as a professional, from menu development, cooking, and customer service to advanced marketing.

* Borderless Roles: Individuals demonstrate their talents as "stakeholders" who drive projects, not as "those who are supported." * A Culture of "Making What You Want to Try" a Reality: In September 2025, a "1-Day Sign Language Class" was held, entirely planned and operated by a staff member with a hearing impairment, based on their proposal. It has now grown into a popular monthly event.

Future Outlook: Towards a Society Where Mutual "Wants to Try" Connect and the Joy of Working is Embodied

KEIPE's role is to draw out the individuality and potential of each person, regardless of disability, and elevate it into a "business" that creates value for society. We will expand the worldview embodied by COLERE, dissolve the boundaries of disability, and implement a "normal" society where everyone can fully utilize their potential as professionals.
