Keikyu Development Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo; President: Shizuyoshi Watanabe, hereinafter Keikyu Development) has concluded an "Agreement Regarding the Use of Facilities During Large-Scale Disasters, etc." with the Tokyo Fire Department's 2nd Firefighting Division and the Tokyo Fire Department's Omori Fire Station.

This agreement stipulates that in the event of a large-scale disaster or when there is a risk of one occurring, a portion of Keikyu Development's "Boat Race Heiwajima New Stand Building Phase I" will be provided for use as accommodation and rest areas for Tokyo Fire Department personnel.

In recent years, as preparations for large-scale disasters, including the anticipated Nankai Trough earthquake, have become increasingly important, ensuring a sustained disaster response system for extended periods has become a challenge for firefighters on the front lines of disaster response. Particularly, the current fire station facilities face difficulties in securing accommodation space for all personnel when they are mobilized, highlighting the need for environmental improvements to enable continuous disaster response activities.

Through this agreement, by utilizing the "Boat Race Heiwajima New Stand Building Phase I" during disaster occurrences to secure accommodation and rest areas for firefighters, we aim to contribute to the enhancement of regional disaster preparedness and to prompt and continuous disaster response efforts.

Keikyu Development will continue to deepen its collaboration with the local community, work towards building safe and secure towns, and promote contributions to regional disaster preparedness as a unified Keikyu Development Group.
