TOKIUM Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kenichi Kurosaki; hereinafter "TOKIUM"), a provider of accounting AI agents, is launching the "Accounting AX (AI Transformation) Project" to promote the automation of accounting operations through AI, with the goal of liberating people from all types of accounting "tasks."
As the first phase, we will promote the automation of a series of business processes, from the digitization of delivery notes to journal entry and reconciliation with invoices.

■ Background
With the practical application of AI agents advancing, the number of companies engaging in AX—transforming business processes themselves through AI—is rapidly increasing.
Aiming to liberate people from all types of accounting "tasks," TOKIUM began providing accounting AI agents in May 2025. To date, eight AI agents have been released and are being used by more than 280 companies. We have also focused on sharing information to realize Accounting AX, such as holding online conferences attended by over 2,000 business professionals and publishing the book "Accounting AI Agents: Getting Work Done with a 'Digital Workforce'" by our representative, Kurosaki.
On the other hand, many companies still spend a significant amount of time on accounting "tasks." To create an environment where everyone can focus on the work they should inherently prioritize, we are launching the Accounting AX Project to further advance AX in the accounting field.
■ Overview
As the first phase of the Accounting AX Project, we will promote the automation of a series of business processes, from the digitization of delivery notes to journal entry and reconciliation with invoices.
Despite occurring monthly, these tasks have seen little progress in systemization due to the diversity of formats and complexity of rules, remaining an area dependent on manual work and the individual judgment of staff. We will promote automation through various initiatives, including surveys on the actual state of journal entry and reconciliation, introductions of case studies from adopting companies, and the distribution of content such as webinars and white papers.
Furthermore, we will continue our activities toward realizing AX in accounting operations, such as by recruiting companies that support this project in the future.
■ About the Accounting AX Project
This project was launched with the aim of liberating people from all types of accounting "tasks." By using AI to automate the analog work remaining in accounting operations, we aim to realize an environment where everyone can face the work they should inherently prioritize. Beyond the development and provision of AI agents, we will promote AX in accounting operations through surveys, case studies, webinars, and more.
■ About the Accounting AI Agent "TOKIUM"
The accounting AI agent "TOKIUM" is a service where AI, professional staff, and cloud systems are highly integrated to autonomously make judgments and execute tasks just like a human staff member, automatically completing a company's accounting operations. It liberates business professionals from routine tasks such as travel arrangements, approvals, line-item entry, and reconciliation.
