The "Biwako Grand Fireworks Festival," a summer tradition that Shiga Prefecture is proud of, will be held in front of Biwako Hotel again this year. Last year, approximately 300,000 people attended (according to organizers), making it a once-a-year big event eagerly anticipated not only by locals but also by tourists from outside the prefecture.
