Thirteen participants have been selected for the first half of the Reiwa 8 (7th term) "AGORA Hon-atsugi Challenger" entrepreneur support program, commissioned by Kanagawa Prefecture and operated by AGORA Inc. (Head Office: Machida City, Tokyo; Representative Director: Nobuki Hasebe) at "AGORA Hon-atsugi (Agora Hon-atsugi)", a co-working and incubation office directly connected to Hon-Atsugi Station on the Odakyu Line.

Introduction of Reiwa 8 First Half (7th Term) Selected Participants and Business Ideas

The 13 challengers for the 7th term, selected by Kanagawa Prefecture after a rigorous screening process, are listed below. They will begin their journey towards business creation based at AGORA Hon-atsugi for approximately four months. (Order based on Japanese syllabary, titles omitted)

"Four Intensive Support Packages" for Challengers

Challengers who pass the selection process can receive all of the following support content free of charge for approximately four months starting in July.

・Individual Mentoring Sessions with Expert Mentors

Experienced professionals will conduct meetings at least once a month to support business model development and problem-solving.

・9 Practical Curriculum Sessions: "Entrepreneurship School"

Participants will learn systematic skills to get their businesses on track in a short period through in-person retreats, web lectures, and presentation sessions.

・Free Use of "AGORA Hon-atsugi" Free Space

Participants can use the comfortable workspace for free anytime during the support period, fostering a network among entrepreneurs.

・Support for Participation in Test Marketing (Events, Marche, etc.)

Opportunities to participate in events and marche will be provided to test market reactions.

Last year (Reiwa 7), 24 participants completed the program, resulting in the creation of 19 new services and 9 individuals starting corporations or businesses (including expected cases). This term, the 7th, AGORA Inc. will fully support the next generation of leaders driving the regional economy in collaboration with Kanagawa Prefecture and Odakyu SC Development Co., Ltd.

About the HATSU Entrepreneur Support Program

"HATSU" is an initiative by Kanagawa Prefecture aiming to create an "entrepreneur community" where entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and local businesses gather and support each other to foster local entrepreneurs at entrepreneur creation hubs such as "AGORA Hon-atsugi" throughout the prefecture.

Each hub implements the "HATSU Entrepreneur Support Program" by recruiting and selecting promising "challengers" aiming to start businesses, and providing them with support.

About "AGORA Hon-atsugi Challenger"

This is a four-month program that primarily supports the growth of entrepreneurs challenging new value creation in the central-western area of the prefecture (Sagamihara City, Atsugi City, Yamato City, Ebina City, Zama City, Ayase City, Aikawa Town, Kiyokawa Village), centered around Atsugi City. This project is commissioned by Kanagawa Prefecture and implemented at "AGORA Hon-atsugi" as part of the prefecture's efforts to foster entrepreneurs.

"Co-working & Incubation Office AGORA Hon-atsugi" opened in Atsugi City in July Reiwa 4. In addition to being available for remote work and online classes, it is an entrepreneur support base for Kanagawa Prefecture's venture support initiative, "HATSU-SHIN Kanagawa Model." It comprehensively supports those aiming to start businesses through various consultations with experts, opportunities for interaction among entrepreneurs, and intensive support for promising aspiring entrepreneurs.
