Background of Developing Entrepreneur Boot Camps in Regions
The Entrepreneur Boot Camp operates with the driving philosophy of "Let's draw big visions for the local areas!" providing opportunities such as [significant improvement in presentation skills], [mentorship from dedicated mentors], and [connections with local governments, businesses, and investors].
Our aim is to translate entrepreneurs' visions into businesses and implement them in regional economies, acting as a bridge to foster interconnected local development.
AGORA Inc., one of the organizers, has extensive experience supporting the creation of community-based small businesses in the metropolitan areas. Leveraging this experience, they have launched this project to revitalize the San'in region (Tottori and Shimane prefectures).
GOB Inc., a company that invests in the worldview of entrepreneurs, utilizes its Executive in Residence (EIR) program and envisions establishing a model for regional revitalization in the San'in region, which can then be expanded nationwide.
Both company representatives are natives of Tottori Prefecture, and the entire staff also has ties to the prefecture. Driven by the desire to invigorate local communities across Japan through business, starting from Tottori, the least populated prefecture, the Entrepreneur Boot Camp has begun its journey.
The San'in region is rich in world-class cultural and natural assets, as well as social capital fostered by warm human connections. Within what local residents overlook as "ordinary," lies value that can move the world—this conviction is at the core of our business conception.
Instead of focusing on population size, we aim to create new worldviews as businesses originating from local areas, by rewriting existing assumptions of "the ordinary" based on unique, primary information found here. This is the vision of the Entrepreneur Boot Camp.
Furthermore, by having diverse stakeholders such as local governments, regional businesses, and local investors collectively support entrepreneurs' businesses, we will foster a virtuous cycle of expanding influence and pioneer businesses that scale from a local level.
"Startup Acceleration" and "New Frontiers Explored by Observers" Witnessed at the 1st Entrepreneur Boot Camp (Held November 2025)
The 1st Entrepreneur Boot Camp, held from November 24th to 26th, 2025 (three days and two nights), saw the participation of 11 entrepreneurs, along with support from Nanbu Town, local financial institutions, and local companies as observers. This engagement fostered deeply rooted communication within the region, and these connections accelerated the business ventures of the challengers (participants).
