Keeper Security APAC Inc. (APAC Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO & Co-founder: Darren Guccione, hereinafter "Keeper"), a cybersecurity provider known for zero-trust and zero-knowledge based identity security and Privileged Access Management (PAM), has announced the addition of a new feature, "Keeper Workflow," to KeeperPAM. This feature allows for the application of approval-based control and time-limited usage policies for access to privileged resources (such as critical systems and administrator accounts). This enables consistent management of privileged access from application to approval and utilization.
AI agents are rapidly expanding to become foundational elements of enterprises. This brings new identities, attack surfaces, and compliance requirements for each agent. Keeper Workflow is designed to address this environment. It integrates an approval process into the privileged access flow, achieving unified operations across the organization. This allows organizations to move away from ad-hoc management to a system where privileges are not persistently retained.
Darren Guccione, Co-founder and CEO of Keeper Security, stated: "AI is no longer just a productivity tool; it has become part of the enterprise's technological foundation. Keeper Workflow allows for clear management of access scope for both humans and AI. We can understand and reliably control who accesses systems, when, and under what conditions."
**Control Features for Modern Environments**
Keeper Workflow brings consistency and accountability to privileged access.
**Enhanced Access Control** Users will require permission from an administrator or approver before connecting to critical systems (e.g., connecting to servers or establishing secure communication paths). Applications are managed centrally, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) can be required upon connection after approval.
**Approval Notifications from Vault** Users can request access from the Keeper Vault or Keeper Commander CLI. Approvers receive notifications on the web vault, desktop, and mobile apps, and can approve or reject on the spot. Integration with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, and ServiceNow allows for handling within existing workflows.
**Single User Mode and Time Limit** Access to critical systems is limited to a single user for a specific period. After use, credentials are automatically updated, preventing privileges from remaining persistent.
These features enable the seamless application of granular control to regulated databases, critical infrastructure, business-critical systems, and administrator accounts.
**Responding to Modern Security Operations**
Keeper Workflow is designed for IT administrators and security personnel in organizations subject to strict regulations, such as finance, healthcare, and government agencies. It allows for efficient operation even in environments where traditional manual management of privileged accounts is insufficient.
**Key Use Cases:**
* Mandating pre-approval for privileged access to compliance-regulated systems. * Limiting access to critical servers and infrastructure to specific users for a set period. * Applying consistent policy-based control to systems where concurrent access poses a risk.
Craig Lurey, Co-founder and CTO of Keeper Security, stated: "Keeper Workflow was developed to bring control to privileged access while maintaining a zero-knowledge architecture. Because it is integrated into KeeperPAM, it is easy to deploy and can be operated seamlessly in large-scale environments."
Keeper Workflow is available with the KeeperPAM Vault 17.6 release. For more details, please visit KeeperSecurity.com.
