A Summer to Improve Scoring Power by Solidifying Fundamentals and Overcoming Weaknesses
Summer vacation is a time when it's necessary to thoroughly solidify your fundamentals. Trying to tackle applied problems without a solid foundation will be inefficient, so first, let's ensure you have a firm grasp of basic concepts. However, it's important to set specific goals, such as "memorize 500 English words" or "overcome weak areas like sequences and vectors," rather than vague goals like "study English hard." Create a plan to break down your goals into weekly targets and achieve them steadily.
From the 2025 Kei-Net Correspondent Survey
Especially for subjects you find difficult or where your scores don't improve compared to others, focus on overcoming them during the extended summer break, as these are the subjects where you can most efficiently increase your scores.
The Kei-Net Correspondent* survey also shows that over 70% of respondents focused on reviewing the first semester, overcoming weak subjects, and solidifying fundamentals.
Establish a Routine by Organizing Your Daily Schedule
From the 2025 Kei-Net Correspondent Survey
It's necessary to establish and maintain a regular daily schedule, as this is directly linked to the continuity of your studies and health management.
The Kei-Net Correspondent* survey indicates that "about 60% study 10 hours or more per day, and about 90% study 8 hours or more," highlighting the importance of thorough self-management, such as fixing your wake-up time and study start time, to consistently secure study hours every day.
In particular, if you continue a lifestyle of waking up around noon, you will lose valuable study time and be unable to achieve your set goals, so be careful.
Incorporating practical methods, such as using summer courses and study rooms at schools or cram schools from the morning to forcibly create a daily rhythm, or breaking down study sessions into 90-minute intervals to get a feel for exam timing, will help you continue your daily studies and contribute to passing your desired university.
We also feature先輩's (senpai's) experiences and survey results on how to plan your studies and study methods for a more meaningful summer vacation. We hope you will introduce this on your media so that this summer vacation can be a fulfilling study period for exam takers. (URL: www.keinet.ne.jp/exam/tips/summer/must.html)
