Asahi Shimbun x Kawaijuku Conduct Survey on University Entrance Exams and Career Selection, and High School Education - To Grasp the Reality and Challenges of High School Education Nationwide and Improve Educational Quality

Kawaijuku Educational Foundation will jointly conduct a survey with The Asahi Shimbun Company targeting teachers at high schools and secondary schools nationwide regarding university entrance exams and high school education. This survey will be conducted three times from July to October 2026 on the information site for education professionals, "Kei-Net Plus." The survey and analysis results will be published on "Kei-Net Plus" and in The Asahi Shimbun. The aim is to grasp the reality and challenges in the educational field, leading to improvements in educational quality, enhancement of the educational environment, and provision of information useful for career selection.

Major Changes in High School Education - How Do Teachers Perceive Them? A Nationwide Survey Asking for Voices from the Field

In recent years, the environment surrounding high school education has undergone significant changes. The expansion of comprehensive and school-recommended selection methods has impacted high school students' career choices and guidance, and the spread of inquiry-based learning has changed students' learning styles. Furthermore, the de facto tuition-free policy for private high schools, reforms based on the N-E.X.T. High School concept, and the review of the next Course of Study are all transforming the nature of high school education.

This survey will ask high school teachers how they perceive these changes and how they are responding in their respective fields. The survey results will be compiled and analyzed, and then published in The Asahi Shimbun and Kawaijuku's "Kei-Net Plus" to contribute to the development of high school education.
