Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1968. A starry sky photographer and planetarium video creator with over 1 million total followers on social media.

His photo collections include 'Invitation to a Starry Night', 'Hymn to the Sky', 'Eternal Sky', 'Paradise of Stars and Sea', 'Wish to the Sky', 'Starry Nights', 'Garden of the Sky'. His photo & essay is 'A Moment of the Universe', and his introductory book is 'How to Enjoy the Starry Sky'. His art books and picture books include 'Starry Tales', 'Stella Memories', 'Art Book Night on the Galactic Railroad', and 'Journey of the Sacred Star Century'.

His photographic works, capturing starry skies around the world, are said to be "every photo is a miracle shot," captivating many people, and photo exhibitions are held across the country. His works are also adopted in elementary school science textbooks.

His planetarium program "Night on the Galactic Railroad" has been screened in over 100 planetariums in Japan, Europe, America, and Asia, attracting over 1 million viewers.

In recognition of his contributions to astronomy popularization and his achievements as an artist, asteroid 11949 was named Kagayayutaka. He is also a Hanamaki Ihatov Ambassador.
