Our company supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to express dreams.
This press release is a dream of Kawabe Co., Ltd.

Two years ago, our company launched a project titled "47 JAPAN Rediscovery" with the aim of rediscovering good things in Japan, designing them into our items, and conveying them to our customers to bring them joy.
The project content involved designing unique characteristics, local prides, and "Japan's best" aspects of each of the 47 prefectures – things that even Japanese people or those from the respective prefectures might not have known, making them exclaim "Oh!" – onto items such as handkerchiefs, mini towels, tenugui (Japanese hand towels), pouches, and socks.
And from 2026, we will change the title to "47 JAPAN." Through this project, we aim to redefine handkerchief culture, disseminate Japan's regional cultures (of the 47 prefectures) and charms both domestically and internationally, create new points of contact with people who love Japan and those who visit Japan, and deliver new value for Japan.
And it is our dream that this project will resonate with everyone, be loved, and continue to grow.

"We want to convey more of Japan's good points." "We want people to know more about the charm of the 47 prefectures."

In Japan, there are many "stories" for each prefecture: unknown beauty, inherited techniques, and cultures and sentiments rooted in those lands. However, how much of that charm and those stories are we able to tell in our own words?
Each employee will re-learn about Japan, understand the history and sentiments behind it, and introduce them through products. This process is the core of this project, and products will transform from mere objects into "media for conveying stories."

Our sales approach will also change. Instead of simply displaying and selling products as before, we will create spaces where customers can share emotions.
We want to create points of contact with people visiting Japan from overseas, as well as at festivals and regional events, to convey Japanese culture, its charm, and the value of our products.

Handkerchiefs have long been a beloved part of daily life in Japan, symbolizing hygiene consciousness and aesthetic sense, and were a representative Japanese item. In recent years, with changes in lifestyles, the number of people carrying and using them has decreased.
However, through fun and unique products, we want to convey the value of handkerchiefs once again.
That they are an environmentally friendly, reusable, and sustainable choice.

This project is a journey to rediscover Japan, a journey to re-examine ourselves, and a challenge.
By accumulating small moments of inspiration, we will connect Japan's value to the future.
